Gautam Menon, PhD

Gautam Menon is a professor of physics and biology, with research on biophysical problems and the modeling of infectious disease. His recent work developed mathematical and computational models for COVID-19 spread in India, and looked at how models can inform public policy. He is also interested in science communication, climate change and ethics. He serves on the scientific review committees of several international and national agencies, including the Human Frontier Science Program and the Wellcome Trust-DBT India Alliance, as well as on a number of national committees.
